Organization's Description:

JW Fishers are specialists in the design and manufacture of underwater search systems.  Their product line includes hand held and boat towed metal detectors, marine magnetometers, video systems. side scan sonars, and scanning sonar.   An extensive line of underwater cameras is offered that includes ROVs, towed video, drop video, diver-held camera, and a mini camera.  The list of products is quickly expanding with the addition of acoustic pingers, a pinger receiver, cable tracking system, and a pipe tracker.  With over 35 years of industry experience, JW Fishers has established a reputation for supplying high quality, reasonably priced underwater search systems.  This equipment in use by professional treasure hunters, commercial diving companies, law enforcement agencies, and military units worldwide.

JW Fishers acoustic pingers make it quick and easy to relocate an underwater site or piece of equipment.  The pinger is attached to an underwater location where it continuously transmits a sonar signal.  A diver equipped with a pinger receiver can detect the acoustic signal and follow it directly to the pinger.  Pingers are available with different transmit frequencies so several can be deployed in the same general area without interfering with each other. The diver sets the pinger receiver to the desired frequency and is guided directly to the pinger.

Fishers family of commercial grade pingers include both the Single Frequency Pinger (SFP1) and the Multifrequency Pinger (MFP1). The SFP1 is available in several frequencies one of which is specified at time of order (22, 32, 40, or 50kHz). The MFP1 has user selectable frequencies from 20 to 50 kHz in 500 Hz increments. The operator selects one of 60 different frequencies before deploying the pinger.  The pinger can be automatically activated when put in the water or manually activated with a switch.  Many MFP-1 pingers can be deployed in the same general area, each transmitting a different frequency.  A diver using the pinger receiver can pinpoint the exact location of each pinger without interference from the others.

With Fishers pingers the operator can select the number of pulses per second, the length of each pulse, and the output power. The length of each pulse and output power adjustments allow the operator to control the distance the pingers can be detected. With the MFP1 the transmission frequency can be selected by the operator before deployment. These features make the SFP1 and the MFP1 extremely versatile and the first choice for almost any relocation operation.
