SBG Systems
SBG Systems is a fast growing supplier of miniature, high performance and innovative motion sensing solutions. SBG Systems headquarters is based in Rueil-Malmaison, France.
SBG Systems offers a complete line of inertial sensors based on the state of the art MEMS technology, such as Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS), Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Inertial Navigation Systems with embedded GPS (INS/GPS), etc.
This technology, combined with advanced calibration techniques offers miniature and low-cost solutions while maintaining a very high performance at every level.
Thanks to these benefits, our products are ideal solutions for industrial, defense & research projects such as unmanned vehicle control, antenna tracking, camera stabilization, and surveying applications.
Subsea Overview
Our inertial navigation systems are used for Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) orientation & stabilization as well as Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) control.
All our inertial sensors offers subsea oriented features such as navigation and 3D orientation, and handle magnetic disturbances. For the best performance, our systems fuse inertial data with USBL, GPS, DVL, EM Log, etc.
Inertial Navigation Sensor for Small AUVs
The Ellipse-E delivers roll, pitch, heading, and navigation data in a small and affordable package. Connected to an external GPS, the Ellipse-E fuses position information with inertial data to improve AUV’s track accuracy in real-time.
Ekinox-E: High Accuracy Inertial Navigation System with GPS
Ekinox-E provides 0.05° orientation. It can be combined with DVL, USBL, depth, and sound velocity sensors. Connected to a GPS it delivers more accurate heading and position for demanding application such as hydrography. In fact, every time the AUV ascends to the surface, the inertial system takes GPS fix and automatically readjusts the inertial drift.
Ekinox-U: AUV Navigation with High Accuracy Subsea INS
Ekinox-U provides accurate and consistent navigation, roll, pitch, heading, and heave. Available in stainless steel or titanium, Ekinox-U is operational up to 6,000 m. For the best performance, this INS accepts aiding data from USBL, DVL, Depth sensor, etc.
Ellipse-A is a small-sized high performance Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS). It provides Roll, Pitch, Heading, and Heave data.
This light-weight sensor (45 grams) includes a MEMS-based Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) integrating three gyroscopes, three magnetometers, and three accelerometers. Running an extended Kalman filter (EKF), the Ellipse-A provides accurate orientation data in both static and dynamic conditions.
