AUV System Spec Sheet
MUN Slocum Gliders configuration
Summary
AOSL Maintains a fleet of 3 200M Slocum Gliders
ADCP Glider
The integration of an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) into an underwater glider is ongoing to expand the role of gliders in providing data to ocean current models. Additionally, the ADCP is a part of the on going effort in the lab to improve the navigational capabilities of the gliders. The integration of the ADCP is nearing completion and field trials in Summer 2010 will provide baseline tests and initial data for post correction and correlation.
