Muscle configuration
Summary
The MUSCLE SAS AUV uses a navigation and control system built by Bluefin Robotics Corp. (Cambridge, Massachusetts) and a SAS sensor from Thales Underwater Systems (Brest, France). For surface navigation, the AUV uses a global positioning system (GPS) sensor. For underwater navigation, the AUV uses a combination of a Doppler velocity log and an inertial measurement unit.
