Summary

AUV services

Autonomous underwater vehicles provide definite advantages for their ease of deployment and collocation. UTEC provides versatile, cost-effective AUV services using the Teledyne Gavia system, operated in conjunction with the University of Delaware Oceanographic Research Department, whose team has considerable global experience. The system can be operated from a vessel of opportunity or beach launched, undertaking missions at up to four knots in water depths from two to 500 meters.

The core system is comprised of:
   -CCTV digital camera with strobe
   -Obstacle avoidance sonar (Imagenex)
   -Multi-beam echo sounder (Geoswath 500kHz)
-Inertial navigation system (Kearfott T-24 + DVL)
   -Dual-frequency side-scan sonar (Marine Sonic Tech 900/1800kHz)
   -Depth sonar (Paroscientific Digiquartz)
   -Sound velocity (Valeport Mini-SVS)

To this system, UTEC introduces a world-class sensor package, namely, the Chirp sub-bottom profiler module comprising of a low-power system profiler designed by Teledyne Benthos specifically for AUV/ROV operations.

The resulting package provides an ideal platform for pre-engineering pipeline and cable route surveys. Due to its extreme portability and robust operational performance, enhanced by multiple battery modules, it is particularly well suited for operations such as:
   -Renewables site and route pre-engineering
   -Site surveys
   -Post-hurricane pipeline inspection
   -Submarine telecommunication cable route surveys
   -Environmental baseline surveys

The battery modules are portable and easily swapped out, facilitating extended missions and efficient data transfer.
