AUV System Spec Sheet
Offshore Works Huggin 1000 configuration
Summary
The Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) is a HUGIN 1000, with 3000m depth rating by Kongsberg Maritime and is the choice of platform instrument for deepwater surveys. It has been specifically designed to perform deepwater marine geophysical survey of up to 3000m, and pipeline inspection of up to water depth of 10m.
The AUV is able to meet the demand of deepwater geophysical survey and to improve data resolution in the event of undiluted seafloor condition, especially in deepwater area. Using OGS AUV in deepwater survey will save enormous turning time compared to the traditional method (Towed System). In addition, it will also reduce operational expenditure by removing the need for a second vessel.
A summary of OGS AUV capabilities are as follows:
- 24-30 hours dive endurance
- Nominal survey speed 3-4kts
- INS/IMU/ Doppler Velocity Log (DVL)/ FLS Forward looking Sonar for collision avoidance/ Altimeter forward and down
- Standard Payload Comprises :
- Multibeam Echo Sounder
- Sub Bottom Profiller
- Side Scan Sonar
- CTD Profiler
- Camera (Optional)
