Qualification of AUVs for User Applications

AUVAC will act as a clearing house to qualify new AUVs or AUV applications. This function will be performed on two levels. (Providing this capability is an objective of AUVAC. This capability can be put in place only through interaction of the international community. If you are interested in being part of this effort, please let us know.)

1. Verify that the vehicle system can safely and consistently perform the basic level of capability for which it is designed.
2. Certify that the AUV or application meets established standards.

Evaluation of New Systems

It is extremely important to verify the performance of new or modified systems, so that a user does not suffer the failures of an unproven system while collecting data to meet his/her program objectives.

With the AUVAC test site and the availability of the more sophisticated testing capabilities of its associates, AUVAC has the capability to verify the performance of your systems prior to using them in an operational setting.
