Description:
Safe, High Energy Lithium ion Batteries
Phoenix knows that underwater energy, size and weight are the drivers; you want
the most energy for the least size and weight. Phoenix's pressure tolerant,
high energy lithium ion batteries use cells at nearly 200 Wh/kg and provide
unprecedented level of safety. The Phoenix Battery Management System (BMS) is
embedded in every cell providing sailor proof, micro-second protection and
monitored, balanced charging of each cell every charge. Phoenix batteries
provide:
* Every cell is always protected with sealed in analog electronics
* Inherent balanced charging and monitoring of each cell throughout every
charge
* Automatic identification of individual cell deviations from electronics
embedded in each cell
* For storage and shipping every cell is electrically isolated and can be
continuously monitored without cycling cells
* Failsafes for systems including external switching and dead-man safety
connections
* Small charge wires and connectors reduce size and weight by using high
charge input voltage from isolated voltage converters in the modules
* Configurable for high or low voltage or power batteries through stacking
the same modules
* Fast easy maintenance from 'plug-n-play' cells and modules
Phoenix makes custom modules and batteries to meet your system requirements
using our scalable, proven BMS components and cells. PBOF or 1 atm housings.
30 V to 275 VDC output. 10 kWh to 300 kWh.
Phoenix batteries are currently powering 15 vehicles including multiple ROV
excursions into RMS TITANIC (>12,000 fsw), and operations from Navy vessels and
submarines (with S9310 approval).
