Specific Job Description It is LM ATL's belief that there will be a revolution in how people think about designing and using robots. We want LM leading the way in this revolution; ATL engineers and scientists are integral to defining, researching, and developing basic and applied solutions that will realize this revolution. To that end, ATL is seeking a high caliber individual to work as part of a team of engineers, to create robotic systems that embody emerging technological principles in robotics and related domains, applied to a growing collection of R&D contracts and internal projects in ATL's Intelligent Robotics Lab. Work will generally require hands-on operation both in the lab and in the field with a variety of robotic vehicles including ground, sea, underwater and air. Research efforts in intelligent robotics include autonomous control of unmanned vehicles and robots, collaborative and teamed operations of unmanned vehicles, human interaction with unmanned vehicles and robots, and perception in dynamic, challenging environments. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of creative and innovative problem solving, and will be a confident and motivated individual with an entrepreneurial nature who enjoys seeking out new challenges. This is an engineering position reporting directly to an Intelligent Robotics Laboratory first-level manager.

. B.S. degree or higher in technical disciplines such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math or Cognitive Science

. Candidate must have either job experience or strong academic concentration (e.g. Master's thesis) in developing and implementing algorithms for unmanned vehicle or robotic perception, control, manipulation and interaction with humans.
. Candidate must have hands-on experience with programming, configuring, and integration and testing of robotic vehicles and associated systems (interfaces, sensors, etc.)

. Technology experience with one of the following: real time computer vision, camera/image stabilization and data processing, object detection, recognition, and tracking; visual pattern matching and recognition, simultaneous localization and mapping, state estimation, navigation, and manipulation.
