The Office of Naval Research (ONR) will be holding an Industry Day on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 08:00 am at One Liberty Center, Office of Naval Research, 875 N. Randolph Street, 14th Floor (Bobby Junker ECC), Arlington, VA 22203. The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry about areas of research sought to support development of an ASW Mission Package (ASWMP) for ONR’s future Large Displacement Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (LDUUV).
SPECIFIC GOVERNMENT INTEREST: The research will develop ASW technologies and build a working mission package for a LDUUV; integrate the mission package into a pre‐selected surrogate LDUUV; and demonstrate the resulting ASWMP during at‐sea tests with relevant targets and in a relevant operating environment. The research will pursue technology development in the areas of: Mission Autonomy, Situational Awareness, and Undersea Sensors. The research will develop Software in the Loop (SWIL) and Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) simulations, develop other required mission package components, integrate all components into a LDUUV, perform at‐sea testing, and perform analysis and reporting on test results.
