UDT 2014 Call for Papers - Now Open

Deadline: 17th January 2014

Over 1200 military personnel, industry leaders, researchers and academics attend UDT, which annually provides a world-class platform to discuss technology developments, understand the latest requirements and present innovative solutions that can be exploited in the underwater domain.

Building on the key successes of 2013, the conference will seek to foster greater interaction between the technologies developed for different users of the underwater domain, seeking to highlight potential ‘Dual-Use’ technologies, which may facilitate advancement in adjacent markets (e.g. Oil & Gas/Commercial to Military and vice versa). This theme will enable greater interchange of ideas between the various sectors of the underwater community, which in turn will encourage the key drivers of flexibility and innovation.

The overall theme for the UDT 2014 conference of 'Autonomy' has been specifically chosen to explore the advances in autonomous and semi-autonomous operation for both manned submarines and unmanned platforms. This reflects one of the key challenges facing the underwater community, in the quest for cost-effective solutions in the underwater environment.
